To all of my readers, I recently spent some time assisting my  mother-n-law with her daily needs, due to a fractured pelvis. We spent countless hours sitting on her swing discussing her parents, her life as a girl,  and special moments raising her children. Our evenings were  filled with ritualistic activities such as closing all of the blinds, turning on all of the outdoor lights, night lights and removing items close to the night lights to prevent a fire. Bath time was particularly interesting due…..

I was slowly losing faith in humanity with the constant barrage of inflammatory verbal rhetoric on television, concerning anyone and everyone in politics, lack of compassion and love throughout my daily interactions with others and throughout the world. Keeping this in mind, I would like to share an amazing experience I encountered with an amazing individual on Thanksgiving Day. I awaken every morning uttering thanksgiving for all my blessings and special prayers for all of those I love, so 11/23/17…..

Spiritual Revolution Faith of a child Three   The faith of a child is not skeptical, fearful or full of doubt. I think our faith is limited, when we are consumed with emotions of fear and doubt due to our current circumstances. The definition of faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. I define faith with my salvation experience. I’m stepping out! Join a support group My dear mother use to say, “Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you who you are.” While I accept the fact that I am not a mirror image of my friends, I feel we share a common belief system. Point being, like attracts like. If you are accustomed to exhibiting bad behavior on a regular basis, you will attract, and gravitate towards the bottom feeders. If you wish to change…..

I’m stepping out! Reprogram your mind Part two Reprogramming your mind starts with controlling of your thought life. This process absorbs every waking moment of your life. It requires analyzing every thought, judging it to determine if it is a productive thought or a destructive thought. The destructive thoughts will be cast down immediately, continuously, as they emerge. Eventually, this practice will become a natural tool you use on a daily basis. Offensive behavior may become a habit in one’s…..

Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up! Where do I go from here? Part four The new you   I personally feel we must reconcile the past before we can re-establish a healthy future. We are all a work in progress. We should all strive to strengthen the positive attributes in our character and eliminate the negative ones. Once we identify the bad behavior, we can start working on eliminating the bad behavior from our lives, one at a…..

Last year I was scanning through my Facebook account when I came across a post that moved me. The post was a letter from a mother to her daughter. I was so moved with compassion I decided to share it with all of you. I feel this letter is fitting for myself as a daughter-in-law, to the sons, nieces, nephews and grandchildren out there, who have an aging loved one in their lives who requires a little understanding and a great deal of…..
